Artur Rozmysłowicz

Born in Warsaw, Rozmysłowicz graduated from the F. Chopin Academy of Music (now the Music University) in Warsaw, in the viola class of Professor Błażej Sroczyński. In the years 2004-2006 he was granted a scholarship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, to study in the master class of Professor Jack Glickman.
As a solo musician he collaborates with the Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra. He also belongs to the Lutoławski Quartet. In 2009 the ensemble’s CD was nominated for the “Fryderyk” Award. He has been invited both to theatre festivals (such as Edinburgh Festival Fringe, SESC Belenzinho São Paulo) and music festivals, such as the Beethoven Easter Festival, the Organ Festivals in Szczecin and Zakopane, Jazztopad, Witold Lutosławski “Chain” Festival, Warsaw Autumn, the “Ensemble” Chamber Music Festival, Wratislavia Cantans, La Frentana, Pacific Music Festival (Sapporo, Japan), Paxos International Music Festival (Greece). He participated in a number of masterclasses in Puebla (Mexico), London, Ottawa (Canada), in Łańcut and at the Książ Castle (Poland).
He mastered his skills with P. Zukerman, M. Tree, S. Kamasa, S. Popov, members of the Guarneri Quartet, Takács Quartet, Heine Quartet and Silesia Quartet. He has collaborated with the London Symphony Orchestra, National Basque Orchestra, Sinfonia Iuventus, Polish Radio Orchestra and the World Orchestra for Peace. Artur Rozmysłowicz has performed with numerous distinguished conductors, such as: Jacek Kaspszyk, Gabriel Chmura, Michael Tilson Thomas, Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, Yakov Kreizberg. He has given concerts in most European countries, as well as in Asia and in both Americas.
