Magdalena Rucińska

In 2005, she became a soloist of the Warsaw Chamber Opera, where she performs major parts in W.A. Mozart’s operas, and other vocal-instrumental works. In 2006, she began her cooperation with the Warsaw Philharmonic, taking part in opera, operetta, and performing Lied repertoire. Since 2008, she has been a soloist of the Chamber Opera in Krakow.
Magdalena Rucińska regularly performs at the Teatr Wielki – National Opera House in Warsaw, Warsaw Chamber Opera, Warsaw Philharmonic (Matinées for Young Music Lovers); and Chamber Opera in Kraków (Summer Opera Festival, Cracovia Sacra, and other musical events).
She has collaborated with Kai Bumann, Ruben Silva, Tadeusz Strugała, Tomasz Radziwonowicz and Tadeusz Wicherek. She has recorded for Polish Radio and Television. Her repertoire covers several opera parts as well as operetta, musical, oratorios, cantatas, and songs. She performs works by Bach, Haendel, Haydn, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Puccini, Bellini, Fauré, Lutosławski, V. Ullmann, R. Maciejewski, and many other composers.
She has taken part in many national and international chamber music festivals. In cooperation with early music ensemble ‘La tempesta’, she has recorded three CDs with Polish music of the 18th century (‘Musica Claromontana’ Vol. 27, 28 and 29, DUX 2008).
She took part in many contests and tournées (Italy, France, Belgium, Israel, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, and Great Britain – a recording for a BBC cultural magazine). As a soloist, under her maiden name – Jamiołkowska, she has recorded two CDs with Alla Polacca ensemble – ‘Holst, Britten, Brahms’ 1996, and ‘Moniuszko inaczej’ 1999.
She has perfected her skills attending numerous vocal courses led by Ryszard Karczykowski, Kaludi Kaludov, Janusza Niziołek, Arsen Szkurhan and Jagna Sokorska-Kwika.
